Paino is an arcade platformer inspired by Donkey Kong where you try to get the best score possible by killing enemies and getting high combos.

You take control of a strange figure and throw a ball that has been tied to you. You need to think carefully when to throw it to maximize your score.

My thouhghts:

The main idea of the game is pretty good in my opinion but because I didn't have enough time there are some cheesy strategies you can easily exploit and if you don't, the game is way too hard.

The art in the game isn't that good but does its job. Same goes for the sounds. Would have been nice to add some music but didn't have enough time for that.

Overall I am pretty happy with how my game turned out especially considering I didn't have even the 48 hours to make the game because I had other things to do.

Really interesting ideas going on, love the art style, very hard and fast gameplay, snappy but also floaty (in a good way).

Like the background art on this itch page, but it kinda blends in with the actual game, took me a second to realize it's only one side that I need to defend, which lead to some cheesy strats.

Takes a bit to understand that the direction the duck moves when you throw is dependent on the direction of the ball, not the facing direction of the duck. It is a duck right? idk. But maybe if that dash actually dealt damage instead, then you could give the game more enemies and up the tension/action without necessarily dropping the difficulty.

Thanks for the feedback! Nice to hear ideas on how to make the game better even though I am probably not going to update this game after the jam. As for the duck part, it was an accident but it really does look like one :P

Cool concept, incredibly har
